Spirits are high after Friday’s decisive 55-15 Homecoming victory over Sam Rayburn. The stinging Jackets demolished Rayburn, not allowing a single score until the fourth quarter.

“It made me feel like we’ve improved and come very far from last year, and like we really have a shot at the playoffs. We’re going to do great,” said varsity football player Casey Bodine-Preston.

Casey’s definitely not the only one feeling the confidence after that shut out of a victory. Varsity wide receiver Chase Horsfall was also sounding quite confident after the win, but not only in the teams future, but how they have managed to come together as a team.

“The game was really fun to play, when we play together like that and work hard we tend to push hard and motivate each other to work harder. As long as we work together and have each others backs and keep playing in times of trouble and success, we will do just fine,” Chase said.

The countless hours of hard work and practice is definitely showing not only on the field but in their obvious confidence off of the field. It is definitely a proud day to be a Jacket.  For video highlights of the game click here.
