Jaelynn Scates is a U.S. History teacher at Alvin High School. She attended Sam Houston State University. During college, she worked at Alvin Junior High. “I love being around my students and watching them learn and have fun,” Scates said. She decided to become a teacher after her amazing teachers in school influenced her to pursue a career in teaching. Now, to make the mood more fun, we asked Scates three silly questions. If she could dye her hair any color she would dye it orange or pink! The most “useless” thing she can do is name over 140 countries. Lastly, she did not have any stuffed animals as a kid. In fact, she hated them!
