Coach Osmar Lopez is the soccer girls coach at AHS. He was raised in Dallas, but said loves being in Houston. Lopez started playing soccer when he was 5 years old. He played goalkeeper as a kid and began started coaching students in 2012.
He likes coaching because he likes seeing people have fun and funny kids and he likes seeing people do their hardest and be the best they can be also because it’s outdoors.
“I like Alvin high school because I like having great kids that want to learn and that want to get better,” Lopez said. “The kids are very respectful, and coworkers are very helpful and the administrators are very supportive.”
