Coach Giovanni Rothman is a World History teacher and a freshman football coach here at AHS.
Rothman is not new to the district, though. He came from Fairview Junior High, so many players already know him.
“ I enjoy the school and enjoy seeing kids that were in my 8th grade classes grown up and on the come up to being young adults,” Rothman said.
Something Rothman enjoys to see is the community buy-in and how involved the community is with the school and its athletics. He said he loves how much influence the school has on the community and the community has on the school. He also enjoys how large our campus is, reminding him of college. It gives him a sense of home and comfortability.
“I love seeing Kids I had in my 8th grade classes grow up, seeing them being functioning members of the community. And how dedicated they are to their schooling and community,” Rothman said.
It’s quite a transition from a junior high campus to our large high school campus. It’s good he feels at home with the campus. On another note, he likes his classes he is teaching, seeing students link things together in World History to make his day. He is always willing to offer advice and help to students.
“You have a choice , everything you do in life you have a choice so make the right choice,” Rothman said.
